Lucasfilm using Void tech to create ‘hyper-reality’ Star Wars attraction

Lucasfilm and ILMxLAB are collaborating with The Void to create a hyper-reality experience set in the Star Wars universe.  Come from South African Online Casinos

Dubbed Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire, the new attraction will let fans move freely and interact with friends in an untethered, social, and multi-sensory environment filled with Star Wars characters.

Using Void technology, which puts users in a whole-body VR suit that incorporates a headset, haptic vest, cooling backpack, and a multifunctional bluetooth gun, the attraction will look to completely immerse people in a virtual world — hence the term "hyper-reality."

It's yet another example of virtual reality tech finding a foothold in the arcade and attractions industry, with Payday developer Starbreeze and industry giant Nintendo having also made headway in the sector.

Secrets of the Empire will open to the public at two new Void Experience Centers at Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort, and Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort later this year.
